Daniel Roy Greenfeld, also known as “pydanny”, is a Director of Engineering at Octopus Energy. His company is taking climate action via generating and selling renewable energy to millions of people around the world.

Daniel is a co-author of Two Scoops of Django, but enjoys working with FastAPI and Flask. He has worked for NASA as well as large companies and fast-paced startups. A core-committer to Cookiecutter and other projects, his open-source work is in production use by thousands of organizations, including Fortune 500 companies.

In his free time Daniel likes writing, gardening, exercising, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
