Kathy Keating

Kathy Keating is the VP Technology for Ad Hoc. Ad Hoc takes a human-centered design approach to agile delivery translating to positive outcomes for healthcare.gov, va.gov and several other US government, state and non-profit digital properties. Ad Hoc is the first government consultancy born out of the US Digital Service to make it to large company status. With sustained year over year growth, the Ad Hoc Technology team Kathy leads is 400+ practitioners across Engineering, Product, Research and Design.

Kathy has more than 25 years of experience solving difficult problems through technology - spending more than half her career in leadership roles. Kathy is a three-time CTO with an extensive track record successfully leading companies through rapid growth and is a two-time founder herself. Her second founding company, Apostrophe, an innovative health plan for self-insured employers, went through the Techstars Boulder 2017 accelerator program, and was acquired in 2021.

Kathy believes that inspired teams, focused toward a mission, can solve some of the most complex business and social challenges facing us. Kathy’s motto is #GiveFirst which she lives through her advisory work with companies/technology leaders as well as her work on non-profit boards.
